Kirby, who has now notched up 165 winners this year, kicked-off with a double on favourites for Mark Johnston on Jalingo (5/2) in the 32Red.com/British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes and Galician (2/1) in the Ladbrokes Handicap.

He then took the last two races on the card through the Roger Varian-trained Agerzam (6/4 favourite) in the second division of the bookmakers.co.uk Handicap and on Perfect Haven (10/1) for Clive Cox in the Download The Ladbrokes App Handicap.

Kirby, though, picked up a two-day ban (January 11 and 12) for careless riding on Perfect Haven.
