Sir Henry Cecil's filly was sent off the 5-2 favourite for the Newmarket Classic but laboured home ninth behind Sky Lantern, having beaten the winner by two and a quarter lengths when the pair met on the same course in last month's Nell Gwyn Stakes.

Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager for owner Khalid Abdullah, said: "She seems fine this morning and nothing untoward has come to light at the moment. Perhaps it just wasn't her day.

"I can't blame the ground, even if a bit more rain would have been preferable, but she was in trouble from a long way out.

"It might just have been an off-day, and we'll give her a bit of time and see how she is."
