2.45 CBD World Mastercard Handicap (AWT)

In The Spotlight, the highest-ever earner in India, hasn't quite hit the heights so far here but has been racing over further and this could be her trip. Elderly Paradise is the highest rated horse in Macau and was having his first start beyond a mile when scoring over 1m2f here a month ago. He couldn't handle Group 3 company last time and may be a shade high in the weights. Fattsota won two handicaps at Ascot last season and had a nice pipe-opener a fortnight ago while Bob Le Beau has been performing with credit on Turf and has a couple of Polytrack victories to his credit. All of them, however, have to face a battalion of entries from the Saeed Bin Suroor yard and KASSIANO, who gained his sixth success on his eighth start two weeks ago, should follow up with just a 6lb rise before going on to bigger things.

3.20 CBD Personal Loan Handicap (AWT)

Global City won twice here in February 2010 but hasn't won since though he's dropped in the weights accordingly. Hitchens, who was in brilliant form here last year, has yet to find his feet this season but is well drawn and has to go on the shortlist. However, along with Govinda and Es Que Love he was behind DUBAWI SOUND in the Group 3 Al Shindagha Sprint a fortnight ago and with no particular reason for a reversal of the form it's David Brown's charge who can land the spoils. The Reaper was in fine form at this time a year ago and he'll be better for his recent run after a very long break so should be kept on the right side despite a big weight. Whaileyy had been in fine form on Polytrack before heading here but unshipped Martin Harley at the start on his intended debut last month. Faridat invariably competes at the highest level over longer trips on Dirt in Japan. He's up to winning this if he takes to the surface but may do better when tackling further. Justineo showed good pace over 7f last time on Turf and if taking to Tapeta looks well enough handicapped to get involved.

3.55 Meydan Classic Sponsored By Shahrazad Ladies Banking

Now Spun landed a Leicester maiden in October on soft ground and will find these conditions rather different though he could be anything and looks better than stablemate Filfil. Elleval was in excellent form at Dundalk before gaining a surprise victory in a conditions event over 7f here three weeks ago when Luhaif was 3l away in third and Tarbawi a further 2l behind. There's no difference at the weights here so David Marnane's charge should have the call again. DEAUVILLE PRINCE won a Listed contest at Ripon in August and wasn't beaten far in a Group 1 in Italy subsequently. He made a very promising start behind the high-class Soft Falling Rain in the 2000 Guineas here two weeks ago and that form entitles him to the vote here.

4.30 Al Dana Visa Infinite Card Handicap (AWT)

Sandagiyr started favourite for a slightly lower grade handicap last week but couldn't quite get to Unbridled Ocean. He should now be at his peak after three runs and should go close. Rostrum, who stayed on strongly into third, is better over further. Mufarrh was in cracking form at this time a year ago and his last two runs have been at Group 2 level so he should find this a bit easier but Mike De Kock's Disa Leader hasn't done as well as expected. The South African also runs AMANEE and she'll take some beating. A Grade 1 winner in her native land, she chased home the classy Sajjhaa in the Cape Verdi five weeks ago and, as the winner has since won the Group 2 Balanchine, she has to be the selection. Producer won a Group 3 at Goodwood in August and made a sparkling debut here when just touched off by Royal Ridge. That will have put him spot-on and he looks a major threat. Masteroftherolls hardly saw daylight and returned with a lost shoe when a beaten favourite two weeks ago and is much better than that as he showed on his previous start.

5.05 UAE Oaks Sponsored By Al Dana Wealth Management

Every one of these ran in the UAE 1000 Guineas three weeks ago with Lovely Pass coming out on top but a look through the race suggests the form will have little bearing on today's longer event as it was run at a virtual crawl. MUSIC CHART, who finished third, had no opportunity to play to her strengths and wasn't given the best of rides so she's taken to reverse the form with the winner and runner-up Shuruq and take this. Emotif, the only southern hemisphere entry, started a short-priced favourite and was another hopelessly placed when the sprint for the line began so she's expected to do much better with a stiffer test of stamina.

5.40 CBD Mortgage Loan Handicap (Turf)

David Livingston, whose last run for Aidan O'Brien was in the Irish St Leger Trial over 1m6f at the Curragh, won a Group 2 over a mile as a juvenile and Mike De Kock tries him over this shorter trip. The stable look to have a better chance, however, with Anaerobio, another who has been racing over further though he did run well over this trip on his return to action here last month. Pied A Terre was a classy performer in Australia and will have benefited from his run behind Rerouted last month and Kieren Fallon keeps the ride. Spirit Of Battle ran well over 6f in a minor handicap two weeks ago and is well weighted but this looks a good opportunity for KENNY POWERS. Tom Dascombe's charge hasn't had much racing but likes it around here and produced another very good effort in a stronger handicap than this won by Time Prisoner last month when Field Of Dream was behind. Fanunalter has yet to find his form but has been running in much better class over longer trips.
