Dundee all the rage

Donald McCain: Catterick runner proving popular

14:05 Catterick Abbey Storm 13/8 from 2/1
Favourite backers are hoping for a good start to proceedings this afternoon and have got stuck into Donald McCain's Abbey Storm. The former point winner won easily on hurdling debut at Musselburgh last month, and should appreciate today's step up in trip in a race lacking any great strength in depth.

17:00 Wolverhampton Mick Dundee 5/2 from 5/1
Mick 'You Call That A knife?' Dundee has been backed to land the hat-trick in a tight-looking handicap. A winner of two sellers, including one over today's course and distance, this progressive-looking three year-old returns to handicap company running off his highest ever mark, but could take some catching if granted an easy lead.

18:00 Wolverhampton Dashwood 6/4 from 4/1
Everything seems set for a big run from Dashwood in the finale at Wolverhampton this afternoon, with the market also speak very positively. Very well handicapped on old form, this previously progressive gelding has slipped into a 0-60 handicap, has Graham Lee booked and crucially wears a tongue tie for the first time since beaten off 74 at Kempton in 2011. I can't see how he can't win!
