Strong Suit: Struggled on his US debut

Jamie Spencer flew in to the US in order to partner the former Richard Hannon inmate but the four time Group winner failed to justify the flight with a lacklustre display.

Reluctant to load, he broke slowly and never managed to get into contention in the Grade Two contest which was won by Ron McAnally's Suggestive Boy who overcame a wide draw.

Winning jockey Joe Talamo said: "He's a very nice horse, and we really had a perfect trip. Everything set up great for us. They were flying up there. I was a little worried before the race, being in the 13 hole.

"Not too many horses win from out there, but he's such a classy horse to get over and save some ground. Mr. McAnally has done a great job with him. He hasn't run since the Breeders' Cup, and he's brought him along just great. He was ready to go for this race."

Suggestive Boy was having his first start since finishing seventh of nine behind America's Horse Of The Year, Wise Dan in the Breeders' Cup Mile.
