The five-year-old won on his hurdling bow at Kempton last October before taking a leap in class to chase home Taquin De Seuil in a Sandown Grade Two next time.
The winner has since boosted the form with a Grade One success and while trainer Emma Lavelle feels Le Bec's future lies over fences, she is keen to tackle the three-mile hurdle heat at the Festival.
"The Albert Bartlett is where we are looking with him but his future really lies over fences next year," she said.
"He's a really nice horse and his form looks strong as he won well on his first run before being beaten by Jonjo O'Neill's horse last time.
"That one, Taquin De Seuil, then won the Challow, so the form looks good.
"He will be a better horse on better ground too."
