Trained by Lucinda Russell, the seven-year-old has won five of his eight starts over fences, including a very impressive win last time out at Sandown.
Russell has given him an entry in the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup and will hold talks with his owners about an entry in the Ryanair Chase at the Festival.
The Argento Chase at Cheltenham on Trials Day had been mentioned as a possible option, but Russell has now nominated the Haydock event won in the past by he likes of Little Owl, Bregawn, Jodami and Our Vic.
"Bold Sir Brian has an entry in the Gold Cup and I'm also going to talk to his owner about whether we should enter him in the two-mile-five race (Ryanair) as well," said Russell.
"He's coming along nicely and the Peter Marsh is likely to be his next race."
Russell has yet to come up with a plan for her promising novice Tap Night, owned by JP McManus, after his win last week.
"No decision has been taken as to where he'll run yet, but I was delighted with how he did it. We'll just look for another novice somewhere," she said.
