Now an 11-year-old, he was winning for the first time since March 2010.
Big Fella Thanks has run in three of the last four Grand Nationals with credit, finishing fourth to Don't Push it in 2010, but George feels the trip stretches his stamina.
"He's come out of the race A1 and it was good to see the old boy get back to winning ways," said the Slad handler.
"We have no firm plan. He'll have an entry in the Grand National, I'd have thought, but I think his best trip is about two and a half miles, like he showed on Saturday.
"At this stage I'd be more inclined to run him in the Topham instead because even when he ran in the Becher earlier this season he looked all over the winner at the elbow but didn't get home.
"The way he jumps round there you'd have to think he'd take a lot of beating in the Topham but we'll have a sit down with the owners and discuss."
