Philip Hobbs: Has his team in good order

De La Bech 7/2 from 5/1 - 12.55 Ascot

Is proven on heavy ground having won with a ton in hand at Lingfield last time, that race was priced as a 3 horse race but he turned over 2 more fancied rivals. The Hobbs team are going well again now and this wouldn't be the strongest contest for the track so favourite backers could get off to a nice start.

Wyck Hill 6/1 from 8/1 - 2.35 Ascot

Very tough horse who will battle all day long, an asset that will stand him in good stead on today's ground. likes to race handily and usually jumps well so he will be putting plenty of pressure on his rivals behind him. Has to improve but is unexposed at this trip.

First Avenue 20/1 from 40/1 - 3.10 Ascot (5 places)

Fairly high class a few ago who went off the boil after showing a bit of temperament. Seemingly has got his act together again over the last 12 months running solid races both over hurdles and on the flat. Likes to creep into the race under tender handling so can see him going well but will he battle at the business end?
