David Bridgwater's Gold Cup runner-up The Giant Bolster is among 16 entries for the Betfred Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon on Thursday.

The Giant Bolster: Entered in the Peterborough

The seven-year-old made a satisfactory comeback in the Betfair Chase at Haydock when third to Silviniaco Conti and Long Run.

"We've got a few options really," said Bridgwater.

"I don't think he has much of a penalty, 5lb I think, so it would be interesting if we ran him. He's not slow by any means, he dotted up over this trip at Cheltenham last season.

"The Gold Cup is his race, but it's how we get there. What I learned at Haydock is that you can't make a mistake in these races and we are not quite up to scratch in the jumping department yet.

"That makes me think if he ran in the King George, one mistake he'd be out of it, but at Cheltenham you have longer to recover.

"Hopefully we've got two or three more years to think about the King George.

"After Christmas his plan is easy, but I just need to decide if we run at Huntingdon, Kempton or in Ireland."

Also amongst a classy entry is Jonjo O'Neill's veteran Albertas Run, who has won two and been second once in the last three runnings of the Ryanair Chase.

Philip Hobbs has entered both Wishfull Thinking and Menorah while Paul Nicholls could run Aerial or his impressive Down Royal winner Cristal Bonus.

Nicky Henderson has entered both Roberto Goldback and French Opera with Bless The Wings and Kumbeshwar representing Alan King.

Mr Gardner, formerly with Henderson, has been entered by his new trainer Polly Gundry.
