David Pipe: Runner well backed in Sandown finale

12:20 Lingfield Nur Jahan 13/8 from 9/2
Backed as if a good thing this morning, Nur Jahan is now a strong favourite making her debut in what looks a weak fillies' maiden. An expensive yearling, it is obviously hoped this well-related filly goes in at the first time of asking, and with strong opposition thin on the ground, few would bet against.

12:30 Exeter Uimhir A Seacht 7/1 from 10/1
Interesting money arrived early for the unexposed Neil Mulholland-trained Uimhir A Seacht in the opener at Exeter. A winning pointer earlier this year, the five-year-old is surely better than the form he has shown in three non-descript hurdle runs, and could prove well handicapped off just 89 in first time headgear with a 10lb claimer booked.

13:45 Sandown Up And Go 11/4 from 9/2
A small field, but an interesting race and good support has come for the 'could-be-anything' Up And Go. An easy winner on his only start under Rules when 1/3 in a Uttoxeter bumper, the gelding is obviously well regarded at home, and it will be interesting to see how he gets on in what could be an informative Novices' Hurdle.

15:30 Sandown Tanerko Emery 15/8 from 5/2
Good support has come for the jolly in the lucky last at Sandown, with the David Pipe-trained six-year-old bidding to go one better than when second last time out in a strong handicap at Cheltenham. Up 5lb for the 3 ½ length beating, the gelding will be shouldering a big weight slightly down in class, but handles conditions and has strong claims in what looks an intriguing handicap.
