Tom George: Cracker fancied

12:25 Lingfield Efistorm 8/1 from 12/1
Joseph Tuite's 11-year-old has shown that the fire still burns with five victories in this calendar year and the money indicates he may be able to land a sixth today. The son of Efisio clearly isn't the horse he once was, rated as high as 88 in the distant past, but he can go close off a mark of 65 at a track he has scored at twice in the past.

1.10 Wincanton Heez A Cracker 11/4 from 3/1
Formerly trained by Paul Nicholls, Heez A Cracker bids to banish the memory of falling when looking the winner at Wetherby on debut for Tom George. His hurdles rating of 125 makes the six-year-old the joint top rated in the race and, provided there are no mishaps, should be there come the finish.

2.40 Wincanton Ulis De Vassy 5/1 from 15/2
This lightly raced four-year-old has the blinkers applied for the first time today and should they have the desired effect, Nick Williams' charge should be in the shake-up. His juvenile success at Bangor on heavy ground last December represents some solid form and if he can run to something like that, he could be a well handicapped horse.
