Wolverhampton reschedule cards

Four fixtures have been transferred from Wolverhampton to Lingfield due to problems with kick-back.

No racing at Wolverhampton on Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Although the two afternoon fixtures on Monday and Tuesday will go ahead as scheduled at Dunstall Park, temperatures are set to fall later in the week.

Last Saturday's evening meeting at Wolverhampton was abandoned after just three races when jockeys raised concerns about the Polytrack surface balling under the horses' hooves once temperatures dipped.

Remedial work is now set to carried out on the track.

As a result, the British Horseracing Authority have transferred fixtures on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to Lingfield - although Friday's meeting has been switched to Sunday due to Lingfield already racing that day.

Lingfield will also take Wolverhampton's card next Tuesday (December 11), a meeting originally transferred from flood-hit Southwell.

The original entries for the abandoned Wolverhampton cards will not stand and fresh entries for the meetings on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at Lingfield will close at noon on Tuesday.

Declarations for Thursday must be made on Wednesday, declarations for Saturday on Thursday and declarations for Sunday on Friday.

Entries for Tuesday's Lingfield meeting must be made by Wednesday, with declarations as normal on Sunday.

Wolverhampton are set to return to duty on Friday, December 14.
