Anita Chambers previews Monday's meetings and fancies Balinroab to improve for a switch to fences at Leicester.

DOUBLE: Ballinroab and Broadbackbob

Balinroab has yet to strike under Rules but his time can come in the John O'Gaunt Novices' Chase at Leicester.

A winner in the point-to-point field, the five-year-old drew a blank in one bumper and three hurdle starts last term, although he showed more than a glimpse of promise.

Second in an admittedly weak hurdle heat at Southwell in February, he again claimed the runner-up sport on his final outing of the year in a Ffos Las contest.

Upped to two and a half miles on that occasion, he was beaten 15 lengths by a horse who has won again since and looks a fair yardstick.

Balinroab appeared to appreciate the extra distance that day but he has always looked like a chaser in the making and he can finally start to shine for Jonjo O'Neill now that he goes over the larger obstacles.

A potential star at Plumpton is Broadbackbob, who takes his chance in the Wings For Life UK Novices' Chase.

He appeared to be a Festival candidate after accounting for subsequent Supreme hero Cinders And Ashes on his hurdling bow but while another win at Newbury followed, he disappointed when only third at Cheltenham in January.

An injury sustained after that outing meant Broadbackbob did not run again but as he was placed in three point-to-points, he should be able to excel on his chasing bow.

Infortual made a reasonable start to her career with a debut third but can improve a couple of places in the "John Truscott And Friends Annual Day'' Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Wolverhampton.

She could possibly be rated a touch disappointing on that initial start at Lingfield as she was the subject of plenty of support and was sent off favourite.

However, she was not disgraced in being beaten just over a length into third, only losing out on second in the shadow of the post.

Light Burst is on a hat-trick as he lines up in the second division of the Book Hospitality In Horizons Handicap.

A winner at this track and Brighton in September, Light Burst is now on a career-high mark of 80, but his eight-length verdict on his latest start suggests he is on the upgrade.

Flying Tempo can take the Sponsor A Race By Calling 01902 390000 Nursery.

No superstar, he might just prove to be a bit better than his lowly mark of 52 and Ed Dunlop's winter string have been going quite nicely on the all-weather.

The top horse Keep Calm is the one to beat but the Dunlop runner gets a chunk of weight and that might prove decisive.
