Twister weighs up his options

Nigel Twiston-Davies looks like making a late call regarding his two entries in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham on Friday.

Hello Bud: Cross Country entry

The Naunton trainer has Hello Bud and Nikola among the 21 possibles for the three-mile seven-furlong test, in which only 16 can run.

Hello Bud, the 2009 Scottish National hero, is guaranteed a place in the line-up should the 14-year-old get the go-ahead.

Nikola, on the other hand, needs withdrawals at the final declaration stage.

"I'm not quite sure about this race yet," said Twiston-Davies.

"I hope Nikola gets in, that's the next problem with him.

"It depends how many horses come over for it from Ireland. He may get balloted out.

"I don't know about Hello Bud yet. We're going to have a think about whether to run him or not.
