Nigel Twiston-Davies is no hurry to decide on the next race for Imperial Leader following his pleasing introduction over hurdles at Southwell on Monday.

Twiston-Davies: In no rush with Imperial Leader

The four-year-old, wearing the well-known black and white colours worn by 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Imperial Commander, got off the mark over two miles and five furlongs at the Nottinghamshire venue after finishing second in both his bumpers.

"He won nicely and we were pleased with him. He seems fine after the race on Monday," said Naunton-based Twiston-Davies.

"I don't know what we will do with him next - we'll see. There's plenty of time. We'll see how he comes out of it and take it from there."
