Sky Sports News expert Alex Hammond starts her series of horses to follow for the new National Hunt season with two star chasers trained in Ireland.

Alex Hammond's ten to follow

Oscars Well is trained by Jessica Harrington. The seven-year-old made the perfect start to his chasing career at Punchestown at the end of last month. He was a smart hurdler, winning two Grade 1 races as a novice, but didn't really sparkle last season running against the top two mile hurdlers.

He seems rejuvinated by a switch to chasing and his next start will be in the Grade One Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse in December. He looks capable of challenging for top novice chase honours.

Sir Des Champs is ante-post favourite for the Gold Cup after a magnificent last season which saw him unbeaten in five starts.

He ended by winning at the Cheltenham Festival and at the highest level at Punchestown. He is unbeaten in all 8 of his starts under rules and should contest some of the top staying chases both in the UK and Ireland.
