Tip of the Day: King George

Thanks to Richard Fahey at some stage this afternoon I, dressed only in my PE kit, will have a bucket of water thrown over me in a Leeds car park by a Racing PR Manager. A Value Bet tipster will be filming the action.

So the very least the Malton maestro can do is help chuck a few quid towards my charity donation and in George Bowen he might just have the ammunition to do so.

He returns to Goodwood for the Financial Services Expo Nursery having finished fifth in an ultra-competitive race at the Glorious Meeting there last time.

That only tells half the story though as the son of Dark Angel looked in need of the Ice Bucket treatment himself when colty through the preliminaries but still ran a race full of promise to finish fifth behind Son Of Africa.

He's now three pounds better off for just over a length beating from third home Sunset Sail this time and is open to considerably more improvement than that rival.

Crucially he's been gelded since his antics the last day and with Ryan Moore doing the steering, rates a decent bet at around the 3/1 mark to get the better of favourite Flash Fire, who has admittedly looked promising in three maidens to date.

Right where's my muscle vest and jock strap...
