It could be that in time TUPI'S second to Highland Reel in the Vintage Stakes is considered a very worthy piece of form indeed.
Aidan O'Brien's colt is second-favourite for the 2000 Guineas and market leader for the Derby and the son of Galileo is one of the most appealing ante-post Classic prospects at this stage.
That Tupi got within two-and-a-quarter lengths of him was a good effort, especially as he stayed on well inside the final furlong once Richard Hughes asked for maximum effort.
He beat the rest comfortably and was a tad unlucky next time in France when promoted from third to second in the stewards' room after being hampered.
Tonight he gets a good chance to add to his maiden success as the extra furlong he tackles for the first time in the EBF Stallions Stonehenge Stakes really looks as though it will play to his strengths.
On top of this he's a clear form choice with Godolphin's Winters Moon the nearest danger on that score.

The biggest danger could well be Elm Park, but he's been well backed on the back of what was essentially a weak maiden by Newbury's standards and he may not have the speed given he's bred for middle distances.
Tupi has no problems on that score and looks well worth chancing at around 11/4 for the yard that have won this race in four of the last five years.
