The Kevin Ryan-trained three-year-old has been a revelation this season, finishing 10th in the 2000 Guineas before going on to win the Dante at York and the French Derby at Chantilly.

Unsuited by the mud in the Grand Prix de Paris over a mile and a half, he came out to show his true colours with a fine second to Aidan O'Brien's dual Derby hero Australia in the Juddmonte International back on the Knavesmire.

Ryan said: "He ran an absolute cracker. I think we'll take the winner on again and go for the Irish Champion Stakes next."

Bookmakers Sky Bet responded by installing him at 5/1 for the race behind 1/3 favourite Australia.
