Signal pointed to Morny
John Quinn reports The Wow Signal to be on target for next Sunday's Darley Prix Morny at Deauville.
Unbeaten in two starts, the Al Shaqab Racing-owned colt has not been seen since his victory in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
A dirty scope ruled The Wow Signal out of last weekend's Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh.
"We had a small hiccup with him when he didn't scope clean but we've been very pleased with him over the last few days," said Quinn.
"He just cantered this morning and we worked him yesterday with a view to running in France next weekend. It's all going well."
Should The Wow Signal make it to Normandy, he will face a fellow Royal Ascot winner in Hootenanny.
The American juvenile, who took the Windsor Castle at the big meeting, represents last year's winning trainer Wesley Ward, successful with No Nay Never. Richard Hannon's impresive Goodwood and Newmarket scorer Ivawood is also in the Morny picture.
