The John Gosden-trained July Cup third was a disappointing 10th of 14 in Sunday's Group One at Deauville in conditions that should have suited.

However, his name appeared on Monday among an interest group of 17 for this weekend's Group Two one-mile contest at Newbury, along with Aljamaaheer, a late non-runner at Deauville on account of the unsuitable ground conditions.

Also in the reckoning is Marco Botti's Guest Of Honour, winner of the Group Two Summer Mile at Ascot on his latest start, Lennox Stakes winner Es Que Love, and Godolphin's Tawhid.

Richard Hannon has three entries, Professor, Producer and Toormore, last year's champion two-year-old, who finished behind Es Que Love at Goodwood last time out.
