Tip Of The Day: Memory lane
Dave Ord is reminded of a former teacher as he picks out his best bet for today's action.
Usless fact of the day – I once had a teacher called Carnevale.
That’s not why I fancy her namesake to win the Odgers Berndston Handicap but I thought you might be interested.
The human Carnevale was my form tutor during those turbulent mid teen years. All around me classmates were falling in love, discovering alcohol, going to parties. I watched horse racing and ate Minstrels. And look where it got me.

She shaped very much as though better than the bare result would suggest and a stronger gallop here and stiffer track will play to her strengths. She races off the same mark and makes plenty of appeal.
Favourite Alex Vino represents top connections and is greatly respected in a race improving three-year-olds can dominate. See Miss Carnevale – my spelling did improve when I learned to concentrate…
