DOUBLE: Flash City and Jacob Black.

Flash City enjoyed no luck at all on his most recent outing but compensation awaits in the racinguk.com/anywhere, 3 Devices, 1 Price Handicap at Musselburgh.

The six-year-old's bare form figures hardly inspire confidence with just one win in 36 starts to date but it could easily have been two victories had everything not gone horribly wrong at Haydock earlier this month.

Flash City was rated 85 in his pomp but a barren run saw him lining up on a mark of 65 on Merseyside and he was sent off favourite having narrowly lost out to fellow Ruth Carr inmate Head Space on his penultimate run.

However, he reared up as the stalls opened, conceding valuable ground which just could not be made up in the five-furlong test.

Flash City was only beaten three-quarters of a length in third at the line and he certainly appeared to give away plenty more lengths than that with his mishap at the start.

The handicapper clearly tooka similar view in putting Flash City up by 2lb but that still leaves him on an attractive mark of 67, some 6lb lower than his winning perch and surely a competitive pitch.

Geanie Mac has hit the bar a couple of times recently but can gain a deserved success in the Download The Racing UK iPad App Handicap.

The five-year-old is another who boasts a far from impressive wins-to-runs ratio but she is worth a chance in what is hardly the strongest race of its type.

She was keeping on at the one pace at Hamilton so it may be a step back up to two miles plays to her strengths.

Strobe ran well on the level here last month and after a chase start, he is worth watching in the Download New Racing UK iPad App Handicap.

Second at Perth over fences, he is proving an admirable dual-purpose performer for Lucy Normile.

Bizzario boasts a nice pedigree as a half-brother to the likes of Gan Amhras and Shantaram and should make a winning start to his career ini the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes.

Jacob Black can make light work of his initial mark of 76 in the Join Rewards4Racing Handicap at Carlisle.

He claimed a maiden success at the third time of asking at Hamilton, winning with plenty in hand by three and a half lengths.

While that was not the best of heats, he could do little more than score in comfortable style and is fancied to make a winning start in the handicap sphere.

Gotcha should be given another chance in the EBF Breeders Backing Racing Swift Maiden Fillies' Stakes after disappointing at Newcastle on her most recent effort.

She had looked a useful type when second on her debut but raced very keenly on her second outing and eventually finished way off the pace.

Trainer James Bethell could offer no explanation but it is perhaps a little early to be writing off Gotcha.

Degooch can follow up a recent Worcester success in the Betdaq Exchange £25 Free Bet Novices Chase at Bangor while Long Wave is the choice in the Ladbrokes Novices' Handicap Chase at Southwell.
