Doctor Parkes: Well backed to win under Ryan Moore at Newmarket
Doctor Parkes: Well backed to win under Ryan Moore at Newmarket

1:40 Forever Now 5/2 from 7/2 - Bidding to enhance John Gosden's excellent record in the race and he's been well backed to deliver.

2:10 Bellardo 7/2 from 6/1 - Impressive winner when odds-on first time out and he's open to considerable improvement.

2:40 Arab Spring Evens from 13/8 - Sir Michael Stoute's charge has been backed as if defeat is out of the question.

3:15 Mange All 7/2 from 6/1 - Makes his handicap debut back up in trip and the supports suggests connections think an initial mark of 86 is workable.

5:30 Doctor Parkes 5/1 from 8/1 - Has won off this mark in the past and the booking of Ryan Moore has caught the eye of many a punter.

3:40 Marmoon 7/4 from 5/2 - The Hills team love a winner on Town Moor and this gelded son of Dutch Art is being given another chance after letting down favourite-backers here in March.

4:15 Annawi  8/1 from 16/1 - Running well in defeat this season and the each-way backers have been out in force.

5:25 Roy’s Legacy 4/1 from 8/1 - A wide-open sprint but there has been a lot of support for Shaun Harris's charge, who has a course victory on the CV.

1.40 Newmarket – Windshear

2.40 Newmarket - Arab Spring

4.15 Doncaster – Buredyma

4.35 Nottingham - Sunrise Star

4.50 Doncaster - From Frost

6.10 Epsom Downs - Last Minute Lisa

7.35 Bath – Dandy

9.00 Leopardstown - Fastnet Mist

4.25 Newmarket - Anjaal

Anjaal won at this meeting last year when flying from the back to claim the July Stakes over 6 furlongs. He looked to be in need of a step up in trip that day and went on to run respectably in the Dewhurst later in the year (over 7 furlongs). His two runs this year have been admittedly disappointing although his run in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot was not completely devoid of promise. He was shuffled back at a crucial stage and stayed on at one pace under hands and heels in the closing stages. Chancing that this step up to a mile may suit the Hannon colt, he may well out-run his 25/1 price in a race that has a nice each-way shape to it.
