Morny option for Wow Signal
Impressive Coventry Stakes winner The Wow Signal could head to the Prix Morny at Deauville in August for his next start.
John Quinn's Starspangledbanner colt was too good for his Royal Ascot rivals on the opening day, running on strongly to beat Capella Sansevero by one-and-three-quarter lengths.
The Morny has been won by a whole host of British and Irish trained horses in recent years and is run over six furlongs, though Quinn is already thinking of stepping his horse up in trip before the season's end.
He told Racing UK: "We're going to give him an easy time in the next month and then we're going to think about the Morny and races like that.
"We'll run him accordingly in the Group Ones. He looks like he needs seven furlongs already - he's out of a High Chaparral mare and they were on his tails at the furlong pole [in the Coventry Stakes] but they weren't at the finish line."
