Williams to join Botti
Craig Williams will be returning to Britain this summer for a short stint riding for trainer Marco Botti and owner Sheikh Fahad.
The decorated Australian rider was stable jockey to Mick Channon many years ago and is currently on a contract in Japan.
"My last meeting here is the Takarazuka Kinen on June 29 and then I come home for a week before I head over to Europe to ride for Sheikh Fahad and Marco Botti during July," Williams told RSN.
"My first meeting will be at the Newmarket carnival from the 10th through to the 12th (July).
"I'm actually going to take a bit of a trip to Italy and France with my wife to spend a bit of time sightseeing before I come back to ride at Ascot and Goodwood."
Another Australian jockey, Courtney Pace, is to spend a month at Andrew Balding's stable.
"It's an amazing opportunity, especially because I've never been overseas before, and I can't wait get over there and hopefully learn some new things," said Pace.
