Dante Week is always a big one for the yard and it would be great to grab a winner or two.
On Thursday we have four runners, starting with Ballesteros who will like the ground in the Betfred Supports Jack Berry House Handicap.
He’s in good form and I’m hoping everything is right for him here. He ran okay on his reappearance and my only worry is stall one. It’s not impossible to win from there but it’s not where I’d have picked to race from.
I inherited Tales Of Grimm as a fast-ground horse but he does have form with cut. He’s potentially well handicapped in the Betfred Hambleton Handicap if back to his best and is going well at home.
He’s run some good races for us and would definitely have a chance if bouncing back to form.
Bonds Choice is another owned by Phil Smith who runs in the Stratford Place Stud Chriselliam Memorial EBF Stallions Maiden Stakes.
She’s a nice filly but I’d be surprised – and delighted – if she could win on her debut here.
Finally Nashville goes in the Investec Specialist Bank Handicap. He has a mind of his own and I honestly don’t know what to expect when he turns up at the races.
However, a couple of his best runs last season came when he was fresh, so I’m hoping the fact this is his seasonal debut will work in our favour.
