Traders Tip

3.35 Newton Abbot – Moleskin

Having shaped better than the distance beaten suggests on each of his most recent starts, arguably sent for home too soon on both occasions, this low-grade handicap looks an ideal opportunity for the Victor Dartnall-trained Moleskin to snap what is admittedly becoming a fairly lengthy losing run. He looks to have been given a real chance by the handicapper, now 8 lb lower in the weights than when runner-up to Last Shot at Exeter in the Autumn, and the booking of Denis O’Regan looks a real positive, too. With question marks over the favourites temperament, the 5/2 about Moleskin looks generous.
