Grand National - paying FIVE places on each-way bets

Mr Moonshine 25/1 from 33/1
One In A Milan 66/1 from 80/1

We've seen plenty of each-way money for Sue Smith's Mr Moonshine. Actually the better fancied of her pair last year, Mr Moonshine will bid to emulate his stablemate Auroras Encore.

As for One In A Milan, punters are looking at trainer Evan Williams' great record in the race. He's had either State Of Play or Cappa Bleu placed in the National in each of the last five years.

Aintree 5.10

Katgary 3/1 from 9/2
Rainbow Peak 10/1 from 14/1
Massini's Trap 14/1 from 25/1

Katgary was an unlucky second in the Fred Winter and he's been well-supported to go one better again in handicap compay this afternoon. However, Paul Nicholls' charge isn't the only one backed in the race with plenty of each-way money around for John Ferguson's Rainbow Peak and James Nash's Massini's Trap.

Aintree 5.45

Modus 11/2 from 7/1

Easy winner at Cheltenham earlier in the season but only eighth in the Champion Bumper at the Festival. Ran well for a long way though and any more rain will be massively in his favour.

Newcastle 2.45

Aetna 11/4 from 7/2

Mick Easterby's filly has been well backed to record her second course and distance victory on her first start of the Flat campaign.

Newcastle 5.35

Grand Jipeck 6/4 from 11/4

Really interesting cash around for this one, making debut for Brian Ellison who thrives on improving other yards' cast-offs. Megan Carberry, claiming 5lb, takes the ride.
