Sky Bet fear Faugheen payout

Sky Bet are braced to return more money to punters if Faugheen lands the opener at Cheltenham this afternoon.

Having already handed back half of losing stakes (up to a maximum of £25) on yesterday's successful joint-favourite Vautour after the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle, the layers are fearing another pay out from Faugheen, who is proving the best-backed horse of the Festival so far in early exchanges on Wednesday.

The Sky Bet offer covers bets placed on the first race on every day of the Festival Neptune Novices' Hurdle, the JLT Chase and the JCB Triumph Hurdle.

Sky Bet spokesman Michael Shinners said: "Having already returned a substantial sum to losing backers after Vautour's victory, we're fearing an even larger payout if Faugheen wins, as not only will be paying out on the winner, but we'll be refunding stakes as free bets from now until Christmas."
