Trainer Gary Moore has named the Clarence House Chase (formerly the Victor Chandler) on January 18 as the next probable port of call for his Tingle Creek Chase winner.
Moore has virtually ruled out running Sire De Grugy in the Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton on December 27, with Sprinter Sacre, the brilliant unbeaten Queen Mother Champion Chase hero, on course to make his belated return to action at Kempton.
Although Sire De Grugy has been left in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown on the same day as the Kempton feature, the seven-year-old is unlikely to travel to Ireland.
"We'll left him in at Leopardstown, but I'll doubt he'll go there," said Moore.
"Now that Sprinter Sacre looks like going to Kempton, it's doubtful whether Sire De Grugy will go.
"I'll probably save him until Ascot for the Victor Chandler."
