The John Gosden-trained two-year-old had been expected to try his hand at a Group One when following up an easy debut success at Newmarket in the Group Three Solario Stakes at Sandown in late August, cementing his position as ante-post favourite for the Qipco 2000 Guineas.
He held entries in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere won by Karakontie at Longchamp on Sunday and was absent from the confirmations for the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
"He's not going to run again this year and we are hopefully going to have him in very good shape for next year," said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah.
Kingman remains Sky Bet's 5/1 favourite for the Guineas although his position at the head of the market may well come under threat after Saturday's Dewhurst and Middle Park Stakes.
