I have to start this week's column by saying how sorry I feel for Frankie Dettori who misses the ride aboard Treve in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe because of injury.
He was also due to ride Sandiva in the Total Prix Marcel Boussacand I know how much he was looking forward to riding her again after the win at Deauville and he's a world class jockey. I hope he'll have big days on her in the future.
In his absence I thought Ryan Moore would take the ride but he's unavailable. I'm delighted to land Richard Hughes though.Sandiva has been in great form of late and this has been the target since her last win. I couldn't be happier with her but the worry is the ground.

Testing ground won't be an issue for Garswood in the Prix de la Foret - in fact it would be a real boost. I know you'll be sick of reading me again saying he's a Group One horse on what we see at home. Now he has to show it on the track.
It's a warm renewal of the race with Moonlight Cloud and Gordon Lord Byron in opposition but my fellow is very fit and well and should get his conditions. I hope he breaks on terms with them and runs his race.
On Saturday evening, Ingleby Symphony goes in the Betfred 'Better Odds On Goals Galore' Fillies' Handicap. We put blinkers on her the last day and she curled up in front. We're going to drop her in on Saturday and ride a confident race. She has the ability to run well.
