Wachman had been concerned about the prospect of testing conditions for his Classic-placed runner but with just under four millimetres of rain at the track overnight, the handler is satisfied with the ground on Town Moor.
Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster, tweeted: "Ladbrokes St Leger day going good to soft, soft in places, Galileo Rock runs."
Wachman told Channel 4's The Morning Line: "I got there (Doncaster) at about 5.30am. I'm going to run him. It's not as bad as I thought it would be.
"My initial thought was that it walks very sound and the stick didn't go in as far as I thought it would."
