Woodland Girl goes to Thirsk for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes. I was extremely disappointed with her debut run as I had thought she was a very nice filly and it will be interesting to see how she bounces back. She worked okay the other morning, I'm not saying as well as before she ran, but we did think she was very nice before her debut.
Heaven's Guest is in the coral.co.uk Sprint Trophy but runs at Hamilton on Friday night first. Clearly we'll have to see how he goes there and how he is on Saturday morning.
There's an awful lot of rain forecast for the weekend and that's a worry for Our Boy Jack in the Marion Gibson Brown Memorial Handicap. If it came up very soft I might not run him. He's been a fraction disappointing this season as I felt he'd win off this rating and he needs to bounce back.
Classy Trick is frustrating. I've stuck blinkers on him in the Racing UK Your Racing Home From Home Handicap which will hopefully help. He has a terrible draw, right on the outside. If the rain comes that may help negate that as they could come stands' side but he has to step forward.
Onto Doncaster andCosmic Moon is another disappointing sort but we're stepping her right up in trip for the crownhotel-bawtry.com Apprentice Handicap. She did run a little better last time and she's well handicapped on what she shows at home. Hopefully the step up in trip will help and she could run okay.
Ecclestone is quite a nice horse who makes his debut in the Freebets.co.uk Maiden Stakes. He's a homebred of David Armstrong's and goes well at home. The run will do him the world of good but he could run a big race.
We also run Mitcd who might want six furlongs. She wouldn't be as sharp as the other horse at this stage but is ready to start out.
If the ground got too soft I might not run Simply Shining in the Park Hill Hospital Handicap. She's a filly I like and one who could be well handicapped but she wouldn't want it too testing.
