Les Beaufs roasts rivals
Les Beaufs ran his rivals ragged to win the Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp as the British raiders filled the last three places in the French St Leger.

As he had in the Prix du Cadran last time where he was eventually second to Canticum, the winner quickly raced into a clear lead and this time Valerie Seignoux's charge wasn't for catching.
The chasing pack did close at the top of the straight but Julien Guillochon was mererly giving the winner a breather and Les Beaufs quickly re-established a four length lead he was to hold to the line.
Silver Valny took second spot under Thomas Messina, with the Thierry Jarnet-ridden Rollex Borget back in third.
Quiz Mistress and Brown Panther both looked to have chances two out but were soon under pressure and weakened to finish seventh and eighth while Hurricane Higgins dropped tamely away and was last of nine.
Tom Dascombe, trainer of Brown Panther, later tweeted: "Spoken to Richard Kingscote who just said that the horse ran very flat.
"That'll obviously be it for the season and there will other days."
