York's Nunthorpe Stakes winner Ortensia could go to the Breeders' Cup if she comes out of Saturday's Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock in good shape.

Ortensia: Breeders' Cup option

The Australian sprint star won't go for the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp on Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe day with the Haydock contest her final start on European soil.

Trainer Paul Messara, however, hasn't ruled out a trip Stateside for the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint with his seven-year-old mare if she has recovered from her European exertions.

The Hunter Valley-based handler told sportinglife.com: "This will be her last run in Europe, she won't run again over here.

"There is a possibility that we will give some consideration to the Breeders' Cup race. But we'll just have to see how she comes out of this race first."

Ortensia is a 5-2 chance for the Haydock Sprint Cup with Sky Bet.
