Norse Dancer ran a huge race to finish fourth in the Derby and definitely has
a big-race success in him at some point this season.
The son of Halling was stone last of the 20 runners rounding Tattenham Corner
and had to make relentless progress under Richard Quinn to get into a
challenging position.
Just as it liked he might score an amazing victory, the effort of making up
all of that lost ground appeared to take its toll and he faltered slightly in
the final 100 yards.
But make no mistake, it was a rock-solid effort from David Elsworth's charge
who has a fine attitude and an impressive turn of foot.
