Connections of Vodafone Derby outsider Albanov will leave a decision on his participation at Epsom until the last possible moment.

The Sadler's Wells colt, who is trained by John Dunlop, won a Chepstow maiden on his last run and is currently rated as a best-priced 500-1 shot with Blue Square.

With a field of 24 left in at Monday's five-day stage, Albanov may be eliminated if he was left in Thursday's final declarations.

Dunlop's racing secretary Marcus Hosgood today confirmed that a decision on Albanov's run will not be made until later in the week.

He said: "No decision will be made until Thursday morning."
