Cork Racecourse

Stages racing both on the flat and over jumps. Cork is a flat, right-handed track with a round circuit. The inner circuit is ten furlongs long, whilst the outer measures twelve furlongs. There is no draw advantage to be gained at this track.

This track was previously known as Mallow racecourse but was close for renovations in 1996 and re-opened in 1997 under the present name, with the course and its surroundings being greatly improved. The leading trainer on the flat is Aiden O'Brien, who also has an excellent strike rate in National Hunt races. Two jockeys worth following here are Paul Carberry over jumps and Pat Smullen on the flat. Both have proved profitable to follow in recent times.
