The Paul Nicholls-trained Ouninpohja has been trimmed from 12-1 into 10-1 for the County Hurdle by Bet Direct as punters latch onto the news that top-weight Desert Quest (in the same ownership as Ouninpohja) is likely to run in the handicap rather than the Champion Hurdle. This would mean Ouninpohja carrying just 10st and connections won the corresponding race last year with Desert Quest. The best price now available on Ouninpohja is the 11-1 chalked up by Hills. In our recent Paul Nicholls stable tour, the Ditcheat handler said of Ouninpohja: "He was beaten a short-head at Ludlow in a sprint finish from the last giving the winner plenty of weight and Ruby (Walsh) was very pleased with him. "I have left a lot to work on, he will improve for the run, and he is in both the Supreme Novices' and the County Hurdle. He will probably run in the latter depending on the weight he gets. "He is bit like Desert Quest, he jumps well and there is a nice race to be won with him."
