Henderson - trained first and second.
JUVEIGNEUR ANOTHER FOR NICKY
By
Juveigneur (12-1) led home the brave Lord Of The River to give trainer Nicky Henderson a
famous one-two in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup at Cheltenham on Wednesday.
And it could have been even better for the Lambourn maestro as his The
Bushkeeper was still going strongly when crashing out three from home on his
first run since winning this race three years ago.
It was tough luck on the 13-year-old Lord Of The River, who had jumped
brilliantly at the head of affairs virtually throughout.
But the younger Juveigneur, in the colours of Trabolgan's owner Hemmings, was
going the better coming to the last and he ran on to hold his stablemate by one
and a quarter lengths.
Parsons Legacy stayed on well to be third, a further length away, with
top-weight Persian Waters in fourth.
Winning rider Richard Burton said: "I was mindful that he might not
get the trip.
"I was always getting there a bit too early for my liking and just managed to
get a breather into him at the top of the hill.
"It's unbelievable to ride a winner at the Festival - a childhood dream. I've
done it and I'm chuffed to bits."
