The Irish-trained Justified has been backed to win the opening Supreme Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and is 9-2 from 6-1 with totesport.

Spokesman Damian Walker said: "Justified has been the subject of a major gamble since yesterday afternoon when he was a 7-1 chance.

"That price is long gone and we have been forced to cut his price again today after significant support. He goes to the Festival as one of the best backed ante-post horses."

In the Coral Cup Cardenas is 16-1 from 25s after good money and Claymore has been cut to 16-1 from 25s for the Midlmay of Flete.
