KEMPTON WINNER CUT FOR TRIUMPH
By
Coral and totesport slashed Etendard Indien to 14-1 (from 25-1) for the Triumph Hurdle after the Nicky Henderson-trained colt ran out an impressive winner of the opener at Kempton this afternoon.
Akilak remains 6-1 favourite with both firms for the Festival juvenile contest.
Totesport spokesman Damian Walker said: "We laid Entendard Indien at 40/1 back in November and cut him to 25/1 at that time.
"Those punters had to sweat before finally seeing him make the racecourse over hurdles but the wait was certainly worth it.
"Entendard Indien was a Group 3 winner on the Flat and looks a worthy third favourite with few of the recognised trials remaining."
