Coral today opened betting on the seven traditional Cheltenham Festival handicaps following the publication of the entries this morning.

Coral is betting 10-1 the field in the three ultra-competitive handicap hurdles with Distant Prospect the 10-1 market leader in The Coral Cup, Ravenswood the 10-1 favourite for the Pertemps Hurdle and Power Elite the 10-1 favourite for the County Hurdle.

Oneway, the 6-1 favourite for The Grand Annual, is the shortest Cheltenham handicap favourite in Coral's lists, while Monkerhostin is the 7-1 favourite for the Mildmay of Flete, Colonel Frank is the 8-1 favourite for the William Hill Chase, and Joly Bey and Tanterari are the 7-1 joint favourites for the Kim Muir.

"The traditional Festival handicaps look even more competitive than ever, and given the strength and depth of the Championship races, we expect all previous ante post betting records to be smashed", said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.
