The Guinness Festival Awards have in the last decade become a valued and established part of The Festival. The Awards are to honour the individual who is considered to have made the most outstanding contribution in the three championship races each day. The nominations for the daily awards will be selected by a prestigious panel of racing journalists - and this year everyone has the opportunity to decide on the winner by texting their vote.
Each day after the third race, the contenders will be announced here on the Festival Website - as well as on course through the PA, TV screens and on 87.7FM Festival Radio. Votes can be cast between 4pm and 7pm (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday); or between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Friday.

Specially-commissioned trophies, generously donated by Waterford Crystal, will be presented the Award winners in the Paddock the following day (with Friday's winner receiving their trophy after the fifth race that day).
Then on Saturday 19th March, Channel 4's Morning Line viewers will be invited to vote for the overall Guinness Festival Award winner. Last year's overall winner, trainer Henrietta Knight, will be presented with her trophy on the opening day of the Festival.
Everyone who texts a vote will be entered into a daily prize draw to win a great trip for two to Ireland to watch the Guinness Gold Cup on the second day of the Punchestown Festival on Wednesday 27th April. Prize includes return flights to Dublin and overnight accomodation. Details of the tour can be found here.
