Frankie Dettori (jockey, Donativum, 1st) - "On the turn, when I looked, I saw things were tight up front. I was looking for the right spot, and we found it in the last hundred yards. This was my first time riding him, but once he got down to running, I knew we got it."

John Gosden (trainer, Donativum, 1st) - "It was a good effort. This was a high-quality field of colts. The second horse (Westphalia) won a major race the other day and we won a $1 million dollar race today. I don't give Frankie (Dettori) any instructions. He was a little farther back than I would have liked; then he got squeezed, and then pinched. I was afraid he was going to be an unlucky loser, but he got there."

John Murtagh (jockey, Westphalia, 2nd) - "I had a pretty good trip. It was a little tight, but we were down on the inside where he likes to be. I was following (Coronet of a Baron) and was waiting for my chance. He kicked on for me and I thought I had it."

Aidan O'Brien (trainer, Westphalia, 2nd) - "He ran a great race and Johnny (Murtagh) gave him a great ride. There's trouble in every race, it's just part of it. We're a little disappointed but certainly not discouraged. He's got a good future ahead of him."

Alan Garcia (jockey, Coronet of a Baron, 3rd) - "He is going to be a nice horse. He did everything right today, he just got beat. Good trip, no excuses."

Eoin Harty (trainer, Coronet of a Baron, 3rd) - "He ran well, but he got outrun. He showed up and was in a spot to do it, and I thought he was going to do it. It's just that better horses beat him today."

Tony McNeil (jockey, City Style, 4th) - "He ran big for me. I thought I got third. I was a little further back than I would have liked, but I knew the pace was fast and he came from 13 lengths back in the Sunday Silence at Louisiana Downs, so I was not that worried."

John Velazquez (jockey, Bittel Road, 8th) - "I didn't even try to get early position. We broke well, so he took me there. He never came off the bridle. He was just a little too aggressive. Somebody wound up hitting me from behind right on the turn, and that made him even more aggressive. He kind of burned himself out. He's a little green, but when that horse hit him in the turn, he kind of just lost it."

Mike McCarthy (assistant to trainer Todd Pletcher, Bittel Road, 8th) - "He was used early and it looked as though he was bumped going into the first turn. Obviously, he tired late. It wasn't his day."
