Olivier Peslier (jockey, Goldikova, 1st) - "After a nice trip, just before the last corner, I was waiting for a chance, when that hole opened she jumped up and just kept going. She's very good. I've won a lot of big races with her."
Freddie Head (trainer, Goldikova, 1st) - "She's a wonderful filly. She's in the same class as Miesque (who won the Breeders' Cup Mile in 1987 and 1988 with Head aboard). She was a little backward before, but now she's in the same league as Miesque."
Cornelio Velasquez (jockey, Kip Deville, 2nd) - "He ran his race the best he could. We were in good position, running very strong coming down the stretch, but that filly was just better than us today. He ran all he could."
Rick Dutrow Jr. (trainer, Kip Deville, 2nd) - "I was happy as I can be with our horse. He ran the race of his life, it looked to me. We tip our hat to the filly. She's a freak. We feel like we won but he's probably not happy he got beat, I'll tell you that."
Garrett Gomez (jockey, Whatsthescript, 3rd) - "I had a pretty good trip around there until the running started. He wasn't helping me a whole lot. He wanted to lug in with me a little bit. When I finally got him out from behind horses, he didn't want to switch leads. I don't want to say I would have beaten those horses today, but he was his own worst enemy. He might have run third anyway.
"(In the first turn,) I wanted to have a couple of them outrun, but from the 11-hole, with a couple of them shoved up in there that I thought I would be in front of, I didn't want to force him to be up there and be three or four-wide around the first turn. I'd rather be last and be on the fence saving ground and start to make my run when I can."
Rafael Bejarano (jockey, Precious Kitten, 4th) - "Everything happened well for my filly. We had perfect position. When I got to the turn, I felt like I had a lot of horse. We got to the stretch, and I had a big kick, but the other three had a bigger kick. We were running at the end, but those are really good horses."
Robby Albarado (jockey, Thorn Song, 9th) - "I had everything my way. Alex (jockey Solis aboard Daytona) did a good job of staying on me, but we had every opportunity to go on. The pace was moderate enough."
Alex Solis (jockey, Daytona, 10th) - "We had a perfect trip and were in a great spot. He just came up empty."
Kieran McLaughlin (trainer, Shakis, 11th) - "He had a very tough trip down on the inside and he may not be the same horse he was earlier. Not a good day but a very nice filly that won it."
