Ghostzapper extended his winning sequence to five with an all-the-way success
in the final race of the night, the Breeders' Cup Classic - Powered By Dodge.
Javier Castellano had no hesitation in sending the Bobby Frankel-trained colt
straight into the lead on his first attempt at 10 furlongs.
The 4-1 shot was pressed briefly on the home turn by Roses In May but he soon
kicked clear to land the massive first prize of #1,162,011 in a very fast time.
Roses In May was second ahead of last year's winner Pleasantly Perfect, who
struggled to keep in touch with the leaders and was forced very wide off the
final bend.
